God Is Forgotten

Cheerless.
Passionless.
The music of youth long forgotten, its strains barely an echo in the auditorium of memory.

Life seems less fleeting, going on .... and on .... and on.

Life.  A teardrop in the ocean of eternity.
Life.  A shadow in a roomful of lights.
Life.  A mirrored reflection of something unattained.

Connections to the past are music to the soul.
God is forgotten, the connections are overrun.

God is forgotten.

  1. Love the imagery...I can definitely relate to the feelings here.

Lately I have been feeling so nostalgiac--listening to old songs, looking at old photos...but nostalgia just disappoints, it can't bring that passion back. It is as you describe-- only like distant half remembered music...it is only when we remember God that our passion returns!

This was beautiful! God bless :)
